Exercise-Induced Asthma
Adult-onset asthma refers to asthma diagnosed after age 20. In contrast to childhood asthma, it typically persists into adulthood and requires ongoing management.

Identifying Triggers in Your Environment
Asthma triggers vary among individuals, but often include:
- Outdoor allergens like pollen from grass, trees, and weeds

- Irritants—smoke, pollution, chemical fumes, strong odors (e.g., perfume)
- Medications or food additives
- Respiratory infections (cold, flu, etc.)
- Emotional stress, laughter, or crying
- Exercise (which generally benefits asthma sufferers, but may need adjustment)
- Weather changes, including temperature or humidity shifts
