John Burks' Story: Balloon Sinuplasty

I came in to see Dr. Robertson because of the pressure in the sinus area the shortness of breath. When I tried to sleep, I would wake up every 2 or 3 hours and so I was not getting the sleep that I needed. I really did not understand what was wrong. The balloon procedure is done in the office it takes probably less than an hour from start to finish and I was very relaxed. They put the numbing spray in your nose as soon as most of the time of the hour is taking from the numbing agent to take effect. The probe inflates and you hear a little like a snap, crackle, pop and it's breaking the gunk for lack of a scientific term my recovery.

The procedure was very simple and I missed no work whatsoever. I had some sprays and some rinses to perform but I still use the rinse even today. It just kind of keeps your sinuses clean and open.

Since I've had the procedure, I am sleeping better and I can no longer use the excuse that I'm tired. My wife has the “honey-do list” which goes on forever. It's written on magic paper and you scratch one thing off and two things appear. I would recommend balloon sinuplasty to anyone that even thinks they are not breathing properly. The results are amazing for your energy level and you're able to do things that you used to put off because you're just too tired.
